(Class 2010)
When Rebecca was 4 and a half years old
she decided to try
pizza for the first time. She tricycled her way to the local Italian
eatery, 6 blocks from her house in the armpit of America. Coming down
the homestretch, between the fifth and sixth blocks, a screw came loose
and the back wheel of the tricycle rolled off into the street. The
tricycle tipped over and Becca landed on her butt. She was ready to
burst into tears when all of a sudden she heard screeching tires and
horns blaring from vehicles attempting to avoid the rolling tire. This
cacophony of sound was marvelous to Becca's ears and a huge grin spread
across her face. This was truly miraculous not only because Becca
developed her wonderful capacity for music, but also because 2 days
later doctors discovered that she was allergic to gluten and the pizza
would have killed her.
