Kol Haolam: National Jewish A Cappella CHampions
We are so excited to announce that Rak Shalom had the honor of placing 1st at Kol HaOlam, the national collegiate Jewish a cappella competition! We would also like to give a huge shoutout to Rachel Robin for winning Best Soloist and to the entire group for winning Audience Favorite. We were blown away by the talent level of every group in the competition this year and had so much fun spending time with them throughout the weekend!

Shabbaton at Har Shalom
We had an amazing weekend this Shabbat at Har Shalom Congregation in Potomac, MD. We loved performing, leading services, and running a PAJAMA workshop for the kids! We had a blast and can’t wait to come back next year!

15TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT ON
In honor of Rak Shalom’s 15th Anniversary, we will be hosting a FREE concert in the Colony Ballroom in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union. We invited you to join us in celebrating this milestone of 15 years of music, creativity, and family. Our alumni will join us on stage for 5 songs from Rak Shalom's history!

Spring Concert
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our spring concert and especially to Photography by Chaiky for the amazing pictures! We are going to miss Hannah Borison, Tali Ron and Ben Fish so much next year, but we are so excited to see you all do amazing things in the future!

ALBUM RECORDING
We recently recorded a brand new studio album that will be released this upcoming fall! We are so excited to share out music with you! Additionally, we want to thank Mordy Weinstein and Cory Hecht so much for putting in countless hours and working with us to produce this album!

Tour 2019!
We had an AMAZING time on tour this year! We travelled north to Buffalo, Niagra, and Toronto. We want to thank everyone who hosted us and made us feel welcome in your communities, and we hope to be back soon!

Winter Concert 2018

Pie-a-raker
To close off our extremely eventful 2017-2018 school year, we scheduled a stress-relief event during finals. UMD students were able to stop by and blow off some steam by paying $1 to shove a pie in a Rak Shalom member's face! Huge shoutout to Ryan Sevel for documenting the whole thing for your enjoyment!
This was an amazing way to end the school year! We'll see you all again at auditions in the fall. Until then... Rak On!

Spring Concert 2018!
We celebrated our 13th year as an a cappella group with an amazing concert! Thank you to everyone who helped make the turnout so incredible. We are so sad to bid farewell to the incredible Caroline Zaslow, who is transferring to Queens College, and our amazing seniors: Avi Eisenstein, Ryan Sevel, Daniela Nagar, and Danny Lauer. We will miss you all so much, but we know you're all going to do amazing things!

kol ha'olam: first place!!!
Last night, Rak Shalom had the honor of placing 1st in Kol Ha'olam, the National Collegiate Jewish A Cappella competition! A special shoutout to Daniela Nagar for receiving the award for Best Soloist, Noah Bar-Shain for receiving the award for Best Beatboxer, and to all of Rak Shalom for receiving the award of Audience Favorite!
